GeoTenerife resolved to self-fund a documentary, joined forces with New Light Studio and the effort to produce Lava Bombs: Truths Behind The Volcano was born. They resolved to dig deep behind the headlines to highlight how the latest Canary Islands eruption impacted not just on residents but policy makers, scientists and emergency managers.
A very quick turn around was needed to have a website online to promote the film in time for launch. Our systems and processes allowed for us to meet the goal ahead of time.
Despite this just being a one page “simple” project, there were many elements to fit into the page and a constant challenge was keeping the page from becoming too cluttered.
We did this by utilizing carousels, and particularly image hotspots, whereby a collage image has hotspots which activate a popup on hover which displays extra information. In this way we were able to give ample space to introduce all the collaborators on the project.
Challenging projects like this are very rewarding when they come together, and deliver the result the client is looking for.
